School Board Election General Information
Board Members are elected to three year terms. There are no term limits. On December 1st, Individuals wishing to run for school board may submit their notice of candidacy, which is found on the Wisconsin Elections webpages. These forms are generally due the first Friday in January, although the actual date will also be listed on the Wisconsin Elections webpages. Once submitted, this ensures the candidate will appear on the ballot. If a primary is needed, that will be in February. The general non-partisan spring election is the first Tuesday in April that is not the first day of the month.

If a board member resigns mid-term, the School Board has a policy in place that allows individuals to "apply" for the vacancy. These applications are reviewed by the Board Personnel Committee and are then voted on by the full board. If this were to happen, ample notice would be provided to media and to the school community.
