Favorite Pec Teacher & Why: Ms.Rindy. Our Chem class was small and so close. She made class fun and was always willing to help or just be someone to talk to if anyone needed to.
Favorite Memory at Pec: When we were at golf practice and it started down pouring rain while we were at the furthest hole away from the club house. So we started running to the club house.
Advice to Underclassmen: You won’t see 95% of these people after graduation.

Four 7th grade and four 8th grade scholars competed in the Parkview Math Meet and showed incredible grit and teamwork! Out of the 8 Pecatonica students Ava Havens was recognized for 1st place and Miranda Barnes was recognized for 2nd place in the individual events. Ava was also awarded a trophy for placing 5th overall among all participants! Thank you to all that participated. We are proud of these scholars for challenging themselves!

Due to wintery weather conditions, Pecatonica Area School District will be under a 2 hour delay today (April 17th)

Math Activities Continued....

Scholars did various activities using m and m’s, pennies, tennis balls, ping pong balls and built spaghetti bridges to learn about linear and nonlinear functions along with creating lines of fit.

Senior Spotlight: McKenna Mobley
Future Plans: My plans for after graduation are continuing my education at UW La Crosse.
Favorite Teacher & Why: My favorite teacher is Mr. Halvorson. For all four years of high school I only remember having good days in his room. I have learned so much and made so many wonderful memories in band (and occasionally choir haha). He made every class fun, hilarious, and full of energy. He knows when to absolutely roast his students and still is able to push you to truly be the best you can be. He's the epitome of a fantastic teacher.
And an honorable mention to another fantastic teacher, Mr. Roberts, for pushing me to be my best and strongly encouraging me to be a woman in STEM every single day. Your persistence is impressive.
Favorite Memory at Pec: A few of my favorite memories include eating all of the "sample" fundraiser chocolate in the band room, riding across the entire golf course in a metal golf cart during a lightning storm with Mr. Halvorson, getting to scream at Madilyn in forensics everyday, and laughing far too loudly with my friends in the art room. And just about every day of band.
Advice for Underclassmen: Enjoy it. It really does fly by and before you know it you're trying on your cap and gown. Listen to and learn from your teachers, make as many memories as you can, and do a little bit of everything.

Future Plans: I plan on entering the workforce, then applying to SWTC in 2024 for their CNA program.
Favorite Teacher & Why: Mr. Roberts is my favorite teacher because he's always been the first person I can talk to if something is bothering me or if I need help with assignments.
Favorite Memory at Pec: My favorite memory at Pecatonica is homecoming week every year in high school.
Advice for Underclassmen: Be respectful to your teachers, they can have a huge impact on your future.

Senior Spotlight: Colton Love
Future Plans: Go to college at UW-Whitewater
Favorite Teacher & Why: Mr. Roberts because I think I learn the most when I'm in his class. Mr. Stuckey is a close second though.
Favorite Memory at Pec: When a fellow classmate broke the locker in the band room because he got locked inside.
Advice for Underclassmen: Get good grades and you won't have to worry about truancy.

Future Plans: This fall I will be attending Edgewood College for Health Science, Sonography Concentration.
Favorite Teacher & Why: My favorite teacher would be Mr. Meyer. Mr. Meyer was my first pitching coach and taught me many lessons. I remember in middle school I was so excited for him to be my teacher and I thought I was so cool that I was the last Schraepfer he got to teach.
Favorite Memory at Pec: My favorite memory would be scoring my 1000th point on my senior night this basketball season.
Advice for Underclassmen: Work hard, but do NOT forget to have fun. Your time in high school flies by.

Pecatonica Jv Baseball vs Belmont that was scheduled for today Monday April 10th has been canceled.

Message from the Superintendent:
Greetings Pecatonica Residents,
Last night the voters in the Pecatonica School District preliminarily approved an $18.8 million facilities referendum. These funds will be critical for updating our facilities and ensuring our students and staff are teaching and learning in a healthy, safe, and clean environment.
I am continually amazed at the level of support for our schools. We understand that this referendum was not a small ask for our community, especially during these uncertain economic times. Thank you for prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff. Even with these additional funds, our school budgets will continue to be tight. Please know that we are committed to providing a world class education for our students while remaining fiscally responsible to our community members.
The hard work is just beginning as we now enter the project’s design phase. Meetings with key stakeholders will take place as the District moves these projects forward. We will continue our transparent communication throughout the construction phase and provide regular updates to the community.
Once again, thank you for all of your support. I am so honored to be a part of this district. GO VIKINGS!
With gratitude,
Dr. Dani Scott, Superintendent
